Mr Moawad has advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery and has worked in many eminent Regional Vascular and Endovascular Units which has enhanced his skills and exposed him to diverse surgical practices.

Clinical Interests:

• Advanced varicose vein treatment, addressing both functional and cosmetic aspects, including new and recurrent conditions.
• Treatment of spider veins, thread veins, and telangiectasia.
• Management of leg claudication and lower limb vascular reconstructions to enhance leg circulation.
• Diabetic foot management and limb salvage.
• Treatment of leg ulcers and advanced wound management.
• Management of aortic aneurysms, encompassing both open and minimally invasive (endovascular) approaches.
• Carotid artery disease management for stroke and mini-stroke prevention.
• General surgery interests, including hernia repairs of all types.

In recognition of his exceptional care, Mr Moawad was awarded the iWantGreatCare Certificate of Excellence in 2022, having received the highest and most consistent recommendations from his patients across the UK. He was also honoured with the ghp Private Healthcare Award for ‘Consultant Vascular Surgeon of the Year 2021’ in the UK. Mr Moawad has consistently received certificates of excellence for the past seven years, as voted by his patients, reflecting his unwavering commitment to providing the highest standards of care and achieving positive outcomes.

He has authored numerous papers and contributed chapters to three textbooks. He actively participates in formal and informal teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate doctors from various universities. Additionally, he serves as an examiner at Imperial College, London, and is a member of the interviewing panel for potential medical students (MB BS) at St George’s University of London.
