Mr Messiha has undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Medicine and Dentistry. This was flowed by General Surgical training before returning to the London Deanery Higher Surgical Training program in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery at St George Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital (Imperial), Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead), and the Royal surrey County Hospital. Ash was awarded the intercollegiate Specialty Board FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and pursed his interest subject in Facial Deformity. He has written several book chapters as well as various publications. He has travelled extensively and lectured in Malta, Brazil, Turkey as well as UK.
He was appointed in a substantive Consultant position at Northwick Park Hospital and St Mary’s London Imperial University Hospitals and subsequently joined the team at St George’s Hospital, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, where he is currently the Clinical lead at St George’s Hospital.
He is a core member of the Cranio-Orbito-Facial deformity Multidisciplinary Team as well as the Joint Orthognathic team. Ash is a Council member the Royal Society of Medicine and has an active role as the Educational Lead for Pan London Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Training Faculty at the London Deanery. Ash is appointed Educational Supervisor for school of General Surgery, London Deanery.
He has an active interest in TMJ surgery, OSAS, Orthognathic surgery, facial rehabilitation with zygomatic implants.
